Pediatrics

• Newborn visits and well-baby care
• Treatment of childhood illness/injury
• Preventive check-ups, exams and immunizations

Women's Health

• Comprehensive health care for women
• Routine health maintenance exams, preventive health care, pap smears and breast exams

Adults

• Physical exams
• Treatment of illness/injury
• Care of acute and chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma
• Dermatology/removal of skin lesions

Urgent Care

• Treatment of sprains and injuries that are not emergency or life-threatening
• Minor surgery, treatment of simple lacerations

Appointments

Please call WellSpan HealthSource, the newly expanded Physician and Service Referral line at (800) 840-5905 to verify this office currently accepts new patients. Appointments are scheduled daily during regular business hours.

Prescriptions

Prescription refills are best handled during regular office hours.

Health Questions

Please contact our office staff during our regular business hours for general health or non-urgent questions.

Emergencies

Our phone is answered 24-hours a day in case of emergency.

Insurance and Fees

Thurmont Family Medicine has established a fee schedule that we will be willing to discuss with you at any time. You are responsible for paying all fees, including co-payments, at the time of your visit.

We participate in many health plans, including SOUTH CENTRAL Preferred, HealthAmerica, Keystone, Highmark Blue Shield and many others. Please call our office if you would like to find out if we participate in your plan.

We participate in Medicare, however we will bill you for any balance remaining after Medicare payment.

Other insurance companies may allow you to have them send payment directly to our office. If so, we encourage you to use this option, as it will save paperwork.
