Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Pediatrics only)
Laboratory tests for our patients - Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

York Hospital Community Health Center is a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and certified nurse midwives working together to enhance medical services to the community and education services to medical students and residents. As part of WellSpan Health, York Hospital Community Health Center gives your medical providers access to many resources that help to better serve you.

Pediatrics

  • Newborn visits and well-baby care
  • Treatment of childhood injury/illness
  • Preventive check-ups, exams and immunizations

  • Interdisciplinary care for children with complicated medical problems 

Women's Health

  • Comprehensive health care for women including menopause and other hormone imbalances, incontinence, abnomral vaginal bleeding and pelvic pain
  • Routine health maintenance exams, preventive health care, pap smears and breast exams

  • Care of the pregnant woman
  • Healthy Beginnings Plus - for pregnancy case management
  • Care of the adolescent including menstrual problems, STD screening, pregnancy testing and HPV vaccination.

Appointments and Office Hours

Please call the WellSpan HealthSource at (717) 851-3500 to find out if York Hospital Community Health Center is accepting new patients. Appointments are scheduled daily during regular office hours, same-day appointments are usually available.

Requests for prescription refills should be made by calling the pharmacy that last filled the prescription. General health or non-urgent questions should be handled during regular office hours. In case of emergency, we have 24-hour physician coverage.

Nurse Call Center

The Nurse Call Center is staffed by registered nurses who can answer your questions about health problems and schedule you for an appointment with your physician if necessary. The nurses are available 24 hours a day.

Insurance and Fees

York Hospital Community Health Center serves the patients regardless of ability to pay. We have established a sliding fee scale for those eligible for a financial discount. You are responsible for paying all fees, including co-payments at the time of your office visit.

We participate in many health plans, including SOUTH CENTRAL Preferred, Health America, Keystone, Medicare, Medical Assistance, Gateway, Unison, AmeriHealth, Highmark Blue Shield and many others.  New primary care patients are generally limited to people with medical assistance (including Unison, AH Mercy, and Gateway), Medicare and those who are uninsured.

At York Hospital Community Health Center our physicians and staff strive to provide you with the best health care possible. You can help us to serve you. Please:

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
  • Give us 24-hour notice if you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment so we can use that time for another patient.
  • Bring your health insurance information and cards with you to your visit.
  • Call as early as possible if you have an urgent need because of an injury or illness.
  • Be prepared to give the receptionist complete information when you call, including the reason for your visit. This will allow us to schedule an appropriate amount of time to see you.
  • Bring all medications with you to each visit so we can verify them and provide you with appropriate refills.
  • Patient satisfaction and quality are very important to us. Occasionally, you will receive a patient survey in the mail after your visit. Please take the time to let us know what you think by completing the questionnaire and returning it.
