HealthConnect is an exciting community based medical outreach program designed to "connect" uninsured families with the medical services and health care programs that they need. The most visible part of the HealthConnect program is a special van which transports health care services throughout the community. All tests and exams ordered through this program are provided free for those who meet program guidelines, and there is often assistance with medical supplies and prescription medications.
Qualifications
- Have no medical insurance
- Reside in WellSpan Health service region
- Have a healthcare problem that can be addressed through the mobile clinic
- Do not have Medical Assistance (CHIP), Medicaid, Medicare, or other federal funding for health benefits.
- Have a household income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
Services Offered
- Treatment for minor illnesses (sore throat, cough)
- Preventive health immunizations
- Treatment for minor injuries (cuts, sprains, etc.)
- School/work physicals
- Health Education and promotion services
- Referrals for specialized care
- Assistance with MA/CHIP and HYN applications
HealthConnect is a walk-in service and accepts the last patient half an hour before closing. HealthConnect reserves the right to close any clinic prior to the stated closing time due to excessive patient volume. HealthConnect does not operate on major holidays or in bad weather conditions.

Beginning July 1st 2010, HealthConnect will limit driver's license physical exams for York County residents to the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South York Value Center, 2130 South Queen Street,York, PA 17403.
There will a $10 charge (cash, check or money order accepted), which will be collected at the time of the exam. Individuals must have no medical insurance and have a household income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level or be a member of Healthy York Network.
Individuals must provide the driver's application form (DL-180) and proof of identification at time of visit. Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
