That’s why we provide education, self-guided programs and classes to help you reach your goal of a tobacco free lifestyle.
WellSpan Health offers the Freedom From Smoking Program®, developed by the American Lung Association for free. Considered the “Gold Standard” in tobacco cessation, this eight-session program is designed to help people quit smoking, fight the addiction and develop a smoke-free lifestyle.
All residents of York and Adams counties are eligible for free, one-on-one tobacco treatment planning sessions. During these sessions, a certified tobacco cessation counselor will:
Assess your dependence on nicotine
Review strategies and coping skills
Develop a tailored “quit plan” specific to your lifestyle
For those who want to quit on their own, this two-hour program provides individuals with necessary tools that include:
Reviewing what tobacco does to the body
Discussing approved medications to help quit
Helping you create a “quit plan"
