Save the Date now for Double Creek 2016. The event will be held starting at North Salem Elementary School in Dover, PA on June 18, 2016. There are many options to participate in this healthy event, including running, walking or cycling.

New This Year – We have added a 10 mile cycle route for those of you who would like to try a shorter route. We have also added a Mini Endurance Challenge! You can combine the 5K and the 10 mile cycle route for an added challenge.

About the Double Creek Event: The Double Creek was established to provide support to programs that benefit underinsured kids and the families who provide care for them. All money raised will benefit the pharmacy program of the Healthy York Network. Now eligible patients can participate in this program at all WellSpan pharmacies, assisting uninsured or underinsured patients from all over our community.

In many cases, uninsured or underinsured patients may have access to a doctor and a diagnosis, but may not have the financial ability to pay for prescribed medications. Without these medications to complete treatments, simple illnesses become more acute and chronic. More severe illnesses result in longer recoveries, additional treatments, and even hospitalizations. Your participation in Double Creek helps these patients stay healthy!

      10, 30, 48 or 62 Mile Bike Tour

Bicycle riders will enjoy the scenic and lightly traveled roads of York and Adams counties. You will enjoy green stretches of farmland, rustic bridges, and country churches while riding along the Conewago and Bermudian creeks for which the ride was named.

New this year – we have added a 10 mile cycle route for those of you who have requested a shorter route. We have also changed the 30 mile route to avoid the metal bridge. The route for this event will be punctuated by three rest stops. Healthy refreshments will be available at all of these stops, and a celebratory brunch will mark the end of the tour. Note - The 10 mile route will feature a water stop only. Registration fee: $25.00.
